The autumnal equinox has recently come and gone. Golds and burnt oranges of harvest time blur into the blues, greens and reds of the holidays and ask us if we have considered the arrival of 2020. Rather than wait for the winter solstice, The Mystical is musing on what this means for us now and how we might unlock the potential of one of the most powerful years we’ve seen yet.
To celebrate the season of autumn, I am offering $20 off any of my services for the month of October. Numerology and Tarot for the people ! Use discount code “2020” at checkout. One per client, please.
2 *Relationships and connections are significant in the number two. When we look closer at the two, it seems be in a state of worship: kneeling or bowing to the mystery before it. It is connecting to this mystery. The High Priestess is the tarot’s archetype for the two. Meditation, deep intuition and revealing long kept secrets are some of the two’s super powers. Here, the message is to understand how to be of intimate service to ourselves and each other. The two is alliances and oppositions, one-on-ones, meetings (sometimes clandestine), tête-à-têtes, trysts and conversations. Invite a friend (or a stranger) to discuss how you can save the world, campaign to better your community or motivate each other to decrease your footprint on Earth. Let yourself fall in love with a risk, dance dangerously close to temptation or finally tell someone that something that will liberate your inside voice. Consciously connect to your instincts. Coupled with the zeros, these twos are ultimately a sensory observance of [the] now.
0 *In numerology, any number with a zero present in it is divine. The zero looks like a circle, an opening, a way through, a portal or even an eye. It also resembles a mouth. It is sometimes referred to in Numerology as the “voice of God”. The zero represents our senses, our truths, how we communicate and how we unify. It is our higher self, the hive mind and the uni-verse. It asks us to listen, to experience and to choose our own adventure. Additionally, 2020 is widely known as having “perfect vision”. As two zeros are present in the approaching year, this energy is amplified and richer with opportunity to advance ourselves and each other by imparting a new way of seeing. The Fool is the tarot’s archetype for the zero. The message here is, be a visionary. If you’re going to get into trouble, let it be good trouble. When choosing whether to fly or to fall choose carefully. Take a chance. Share your dream of life with others so as to inspire them to share their own. In doing this we can truly liberate the wilderness inside ourselves. Express yourself.
20 *Then there is twenty to reconcile with. In the tarot, Judgement is the tarot’s archetype for the twenty. There is potent resonance in Judgement’s announcement as archangel Gabriel heralds the disintegration of the old and the rebirth of the new. It is a palpable energy as it forces us to look into the mirror and see things as they are. It wakes us up to the things we have been pretending not to notice but have been there in plain view. It is a moment of reckoning. As there are two twenties present in next year’s signature, we are asked to wake with good intentions, learn from our dreams and stay vitally present in our actions as we direct a new course. Listen to what needs to be changed.
4 *The divine summation of 2020 is four. Four is form. Four salutes what it admires. It is proud of its achievements and is nobly led by its tenets. Order is established and power is available. The Emperor is the archetype of the four in the tarot. The message of the four is to build foundations and develop your skills through logic and reason. Remember your ancestors and honor the generations who came before you by ruling with peace in your heart. Moving mountains takes a steady hand and a sincere wish to honor yourself and those around you no matter what magnitude of power you may hold.
Perhaps the story goes like this: Two HIGH PRIESTESSES and two FOOLS walk into a dark labyrinth (often these are circular… the zero again). Despite the shadows they find their way according to instinct, collaboration, sense and sound JUDGEMENT. After some twists, turns and unforeseen events, they emerge from the labyrinth unified in the EMPEROR.
Holistically speaking, this 2020 reading reminded me of the T.S. Eliot quote,
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
